Carnegie Mellon University — — — Search Search Search this site only Carnegie Mellon Electricity Industry Center The College of Engineering and the Tepper School of Business Welcome to the Carnegie Mellon Electricity Industry Center (CEIC), a joint endeavor between Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Engineering and the Tepper School of Business. CEIC’s primary mission is to work with industry, labor, government and all other relevant stakeholders to address the strategic problems of the electricity industry. While we work directly on identifying, addressing, and solving important problems for the industry, as or more important is that the fact that CEIC produces a cadre of well-trained graduate student researchers, many of whom continue to address the industry’s problems in subsequent professional careers. In addition to doctoral education, CEIC has a broad educational mission that includes the development of university courses, special topic short-courses, and curricular advice for training programs. CEIC’s work is recognized by legislators and government executives as some of the best non-partisan analysis in the field. CEIC faculty have testified several times before Congress in recent years, chaired and participated in numerous National Academies panels, briefed and subsequently been cited by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in its rulings, and served on a variety of advisory committees including the DoE’s Electricity Committee. CMU faculty affiliated with CEIC are drawn from eight academic units across campus: The Tepper School of Business Engineering and Public Policy Social and Decision Sciences Civil and Environmental Engineering Mechanical Engineering Materials Science and Engineering Electrical and Computer Engineering The School of Computer Science Contact Us College of Engineering Tepper School of Business Carnegie Mellon Electricity Industry Center Carnegie Mellon University 5000 Forbes Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15213 Legal Info www.cmu.edu © 2019 Carnegie Mellon University Research and Publications Working Papers Ph.D. Dissertations Journal Articles Reports and Periodicals Prospective Students Events and Seminars People Models and Data...
